Two Binance executives in Nigeria have been arrested, Financial Times reports, amidst the crypto exchange's suspension of naira to USDT/USDC transactions. The arrests follow growing concerns over Nigeria's currency volatility, with about $26 billion passing through Binance Nigeria from unidentifiable sources. Both Binance and Nigerian authorities remain silent amid speculations, following reports of the Central Bank of Nigeria's alleged plan to shut down all crypto platforms last week.
Kenya is considering a bill, the Kenya Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Society Bill 2023, proposing fines of up to $6,250 for unlicensed AI and robotics businesses.
